MARCH 2024

(Matthew 4:18-25) The theme for New Pointe Church this year is Discipleship. How are you doing with that thus far? Oh yea, this is about YOU not just the pastor. We all have to do our part if we want the church to grow. We should not be content with where we are or where we’ve come from. The best is yet to come so we’ve got to be about the Father’s business to see what’s in store for us. 

It is true that making disciples makes the church grow. I think about Simon Peter and Andrew whom Jesus called to be fishers of men. I bet they were content about just catching fish as they’ve done all their life, but when the master says come, you drop everything and go. That’s being about the Father’s business. 

Just as fishermen cast their nets out in the sea, we need to get the message to the people we encounter daily through social media, word of mouth, etc. 

 _“Come follow me, Jesus said, and I will make you fishers of men”_ (Mark 1:17). By being “fishers of men”, Jesus purposed to grow the kingdom of God with his disciples. 

Discipleship must be very vital cos Jesus himself called 12 and discipled them. They walked with him and witnessed the behind-the-scenes of His ministry. We should take some notes from that and live it.
