Pastor Rufus
Pastor Rufus serves as the Associate Pastor of New Pointe Church.
He grew up as a Third Culture Individual. The socio-cultural identity crisis, which gradually progressed into faith crisis, turned out to be the northern star that led him to finding his life’s purpose.
Pastor Rufus has been involved in full time ministry over the last ten years in various capacities. Before serving at New Pointe, he served as the Youth Pastor at Indian Pentecostal Church in Houston TX, and as the Academic Administrator, and Assistant Professor of Bible and Pastoral Theology at Global University - Berean School of the Bible, in Springfield, MO. He is also a traveling minister.
He is a student of cultures, and likes visiting new places and learning from people from different walks of life. Pastor Rufus is passionate about pursuing God and representing Him. He is fervent about caring for the marginalized.
Rufus and his wife Lasha strive each day to become more Christ-like. They love spending time with their children, Zoe, Jared, and Zarah.
