Pastor Tom
Pastor Tom Cordero is the founder and lead Pastor of New Pointe Church. Prior to
New Pointe Church, he pioneered an inner city church in Chicago where he implemented
several ministries in the rural area impacting the sick, needy, homeless,
teenagers and adults.
He left Chicago to become the youth pastor of about
380 teenagers at Braeswood Assembly of God Church in Houston, Texas. He worked
with the teenagers for eleven and a half years. He took many teenagers on
missions trips, home and overseas, as well as championed them to support missionaries.
Discipleship was key and he motivated the youth leaders to make personal connections
to ensure that the teenagers were growing in Christ. At the heart of Pastor
Tom Cordero is winning the lost for Christ. His philosophy is we can have
several programs and activities but at the end of the day if people are not
saved or living for God, then we have missed the mark. Pastor Tom Cordero's
style is similar to well-known, best-selling author Max Lucado (simple and
straight to the point). He prefers teaching rather than "preaching."
He is
married to his lovely, prayer-warrior wife, Bunmi, and together they have
four children (Thomas, Josiah, Isabelle, and Benjamin).
